The Public Relations Officer of the Dormaa Central municipal directorate of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Mr. Danso Kofi Yeboah has noted that the lack of Blank Cards that was impeding the ability of the Scheme to print new cards to clients has been resolved hence all clients, especially parents who had their children declined of service must urgently bring them for their insurance cards to aid them in free and affordable healthcare.
He expressed gratitude to the NPP government for the introduction of the National Identification Card (Ghana card) which has made it easier the link health insurance identity to the Ghana card for easier health care accessibility denoting that the available blank cards are mainly going to be used to provide insurance cards for toddlers who are three months older or above since they are not yet beneficiaries of the Ghana Card policy.
Mr. Danso Kofi Yeboah revealed that it is the responsibility of the Authority to replace lost and broken insurance cards therefore people with Ghana card who have their insurance cards broken or misplaced must go to their office with the Ghana card to help them link the insurance identity number to the Ghana card to avoid misuse of the available blank cards.
He concluded that their hard work within the 2023 calendar year placed them as the 2nd best municipal that registered more members to the scheme and the 1st municipal that generated the most income for the scheme in the entire Bono Region
