Organized labour declares nationwide strike, effective October 10, 2024

Organized Labour Ghana is set to lay down its tools effective 10th October, 2024.

This strike action comes in the wake of the government’s failure to ban illegal mining, commonly known as “galamsey”.

In a press statement, it noted that “Following the expiration and the failure of government to meet our demands on illegal mining (galamsey) Organized labour has decided to declare a nationwide strike with effect from October 10, 2024”

The union however charged all workers to comply with this directive.
