NPP’s target of 300,000 votes in Volta Region will remain a pipe dream – Mahama

The former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has asked the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop dreaming of increasing their votes in the Volta Region.

He argues that the people of the Volta Region are aware of the fact that the NDC is the only political party that has them at heart and ensures they enjoy a fair share of the national cake.

Therefore, they will go out massively and vote for the NDC.

The flagbearer for the NDC is optimistic the votes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) got in the 2020 elections will reduce.

“NPP got about 100,000 votes and we got 800,000 votes in the Volta region so we need to decrease their votes…It is a pipe dream, I don’t think NPP can get 300,000 in the Volta Region. Mark my words, they can’t get 300,000 in the region.

Volta Region knows it’s the NDC that stands for them. Everything, Regional hospital, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Electrification, Kpando Water and everything was provided during NDC time and we have very good plans for Volta and Oti,” he said in an interview with TV3.
