Nkwanta South: NPP PC supports community with mechanized borehole

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Nkwanta South, Hajia Sherifa Sekyere-Tijani has sponsored the drilling of mechanized borehole in Dawa Akura in the Kabiti-Agou Electoral Area within her Constituency.

Hajia Sherifa indicated that the borehole project was in response to a request from the beneficiary Community who had water challenges in the constituency.

The parliamentary candidate, who is the Deputy Managing Director for State Housing Company stated that the objective behind the project was to help solve the perennial water shortages in the beneficiary community.

Hajia Sherifa hinted that the project would soon be extended to other communities to complement the government in its ‘Water-for-all’ project aimed at providing adequate and potable water supply for the people of Ghana, particularly the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Region.

The beneficiary communities lauded Hajia Sherifa Sekyere-Tijani for her quick response to help address their water problem and pledged to reciprocate in the December general elections to become the next Member of Parliament for the constituency to boost her capacity to lobby for more developmental projects and continue with her good vision for the area.

In a related development, Hajia Sherifa toured the Nkwanta South market to interact with some market women. She pledged to create opportunities for traders by procuring affordable loans for them to expand their businesses.

“We know how influential women are, it’s soft to get what you want as a woman that a man, give me the seat and I’ll make sure traders in our market also enjoy the affordable loans others get at other places to open their businesses” she added

“I’m poised to put Nkwanta South on a global map, a municipal every business person will love to come and invest, of cause we have a lot to show to convince investors and that’s what I stand for”, she told Evans Manasseh 

She was joyed by some party executives and party faithful’s in a familiarization tour at the market.
