Chief Executive officer (CEO) of Public Sector Reforms, Thomas Kusi Boafo, warns that the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) planned review of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy may ultimately lead to its cancellation.
According to him, NDC’s review intentions unclear.
“NDC is now coming to appoint new ministers who’ll go through vetting process which is likely to proceed to Jun-July, they’ll now start to study their own policy direction. Imagine a man who couldn’t explain his own 24hr economy policy promosing to review FSHS.”
Mr Boafo has expressed concerns that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lacks clear policy direction “The NDC’s economic policies and plans for Ghana’s development remain unclear”
Kusi Boafo’s warning highlights the potential risks of the NDC’s review. The outcome will significantly impact Ghana’s education sector and the country’s future.
“The amount John Mahama said he’ll not invest into FSHS has increased drastically, a review will Lead to Cancellation”
Mr Boafo said NDC’s manifesto promises to review the policy, citing concerns about quality and funding, review may be a precursor to cancellation, undermining education progress and disadvantage vulnerable students.
