NDC Manifesto is Empty – Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei

In a scathing critique, Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Bekwai Constituency, in his opinion, has lambasted the NDC’s manifesto as a hollow document devoid of concrete plans for Ghana’s development.

Speaking on Wontumi TV and Radio on November 21, 2024, Lawyer Poku-Adusei questioned the NDC’s promise to “reset” Ghana’s economy, asking which of their past economic positions do they intend to reset to and start again from. “Is it JJ Rawlings’ pre or post-independence era, the Late Prof. J.E.A. Mills’ era from 2009-2012, or John Mahama’s era of 2013-2016?” he quizzed. “These questions beg for answers.”

The young and astute politician also slammed the NDC for lacking immediate plans for Ghana’s economic development, with their only proposal being a national economic forum within their first 120 days in power. “This is a clear indication that the NDC is bankrupt of ideas and is merely paying lip service to the electorate,” he asserted.

Lawyer Poku-Adusei reiterated that the NDC’s generic policies are incapable of building on the solid foundations laid by the NPP. In contrast, he highlighted Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s specific policies aimed at solving Ghana’s pressing problems, including the introduction of a flat rate for imports, 2000MW of solar power to reduce electricity costs, and a gold-backed currency to strengthen the cedi.

The Bekwai NPP PC also touted his own achievements, including the construction of three mechanized boreholes, repair of eight damaged boreholes, clearing of two aged refuse dumps, skills training for 3000 youth, financial inclusion for 10,000 traders, and diverse support for education, sports, tradition, and religion.

In conclusion, Lawyer Poku-Adusei emphasized that his vision is to build a self-sufficient constituency, with his legacy being the establishment of an accessible and inclusive office for the Member of Parliament.
