The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians of waiving off ex gratia when he clinches December 7, general elections.
This, he said, is to promote good governance and combat corruption.
Speaking at the NDC’s 2024 manifesto launch, former president Mahama outlined measures to be employed in fighting corruption in his government.
“We will scrap the payment of ex gratia. We will establish an independent Emoluments Commission by merging the presidential Commission on Emoluments and the fair Wages and salaries commission as the Constitutional Review Commission recommended”
“Collaborate with the judiciary to establish a special court against whom the Auditor – General and Parliament have made adverse findings ”
