Maintain credibility as a journalist- Lecturer advises

A lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Dr. Solomon Kwarteng Fokuo has urged journalists and media practitioners to uphold integrity and maintain credibility in their profession.

According to Dr. Fokuo, journalists would lose public trust if they disseminate false information.

Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show, on 29th August, 2024, he emphasized the importance of Press independence, noting its role in accurate and unbiased reporting.

He further admonished journalists to adhere to their professional ethics and not be influenced by external factors.

“With my final remarks, I have heard that some journalists are devising alliance groups simply because you people think there is a change of government every eight years but NPP is breaking the 8 this time.

As a journalist, if your loyalty is less, who will trust you?” It is important that you uphold loyalty and maintain credibility” he stressed.
