Deputy Communications Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Malik Basintale believes Dr Mahamudu Bawumia should be thankful John Dramani Mahama decided not to debate him.
He is of the view that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would have been exposed by John Dramani Mahama if they had debated ahead of the 2024 elections.
Malik Basintale bases his arguments on what he describes as shallow answers being made by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during his engagement with the youth on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
“Is this the character who wanted to debate President Mahama? Are these the answers he wanted to face the nation-builder President Mahama with? He would have been embarrassed. He should thank his stars that President Mahama didn’t debate him.
Ghanaians would have seen that he is as empty as anything. If we didn’t have any president or flagbearer like John Mahama trust me, anytime Bawumia spoke, we would have lost about 100 lives in suicide cases,” he said.
