Healing Wounds: A prayer for Kue killing on the Koli and Molla Clans

Ramadhan 2024, marks 26 years since a tragic event unfolded in Kue, claiming the lives of 8 innocent individuals and injuring 12. The then former Amankrado, Issaka, allegedly orchestrated an attack during Ramadan, directing his children led by Sakibu Ateku Afora and Awal Afora to target members of the ruling Koli clan and some Molla individuals amidst a chieftaincy dispute.

On this solemn occasion, the community of Kue, alongside the WhatsApp group “KUE KINGDOM-TEM GHANA DIGORE,” came together to hold a prayer led by sheikh Adams Sina-esor in remembrance of the lost souls and victims of Sakibu and his accomplices. The impact of this day remains unforgettable for the people of Kue, particularly those from the Koli and Molla clans who were affected deeply by the tragedy.

As a testament to the enduring memory of those lost, photographs of the victims, tragically taken by Sakibu and his gang, serve as a poignant reminder of the need for justice within the community. This commemoration stands as a solemn reflection on the lasting wounds inflicted by the events of that fateful day, urging unity and healing moving forward.
