The Guiness world records has official announced that, Afua Asantewaa’s attempt to break the longest singing marathon in 2023 was unsuccessful.
In a tweet dated, 23rd February, 2024, it wrote “Unfortunately Afua’s Guiness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful ”
Afua Asantewaa on December 24 begun her competition and ended on December 29. She completed the singing marathon journey in 5 days, 6 hours and 55 minutes.
Many Ghanaians eulogised her for such a brave attempt. She bagged an ambassadorial deal with the Ghana Tourism Authority days after her completion.
Meanwhile, the Guiness World Records has refunded the money she paid, and looking forward to seeing another attempt inspite of her failure.
